Oligospermia

Oligospermia is when the semen has a low concentration of sperm. Oftentimes, semen with decreased sperm concentration may also show significant abnormalities in sperm morphology and motility.

  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiation
  • Infection
  • Natural aging
  • Poor general health
  • Steroids
  • Testicular factors (e.g. varicocele)

Other obstacles with the semen could include:

  • Asthenospermia: The sperm has very low motility

How can IVF Michigan Fertility Center help me if I have oligospermia?
