What inspired you to pursue a career in your field?
When I first started I was part-time and didn’t know anything about this field. After working at IVF Michigan, I started falling in love with the work that we do. I have learned so many aspects of this specialty and watched it grow and advance over the last 18 years. Helping share that knowledge and experience with patients and my co-workers has been a great privilege.
 
Can you share a memorable moment or achievement from your time at IVF Michigan?
Being promoted to Clinical Operations Manager of our Grand Rapids location.
 
Can you describe a recent project or task you worked on that you’re particularly proud of?
Being part of the team to grow the Grand Rapids office. Our West Michigan location has grown so quickly and being a part of that has been an amazing experience.
 
Can you describe your role and what you do on a daily basis to support our mission?
I am part of and oversee the Clinical Nursing Team at the Grand Rapids location. I work with patients during their treatment cycles, provide education, and provide emotional support when needed. I also help coordinate treatment cycles for patients
 
Can you share a fun fact about yourself that your colleagues might not know?
I have been to 11 countries by the age of 28.
 
What is your favorite hobby?
During school, it’s being so involved in my kids’ sports. I help coach their soccer teams, throw footballs with my son, and sit on the sidelines with my noise-makers at all their games. During the summer, it’s being with family and lounging by a pool or lake!
 
In what ways has the employee positively impacted the workplace or gone above and beyond in their role?
She is ALWAYS trying to make clinic a positive environment. From lifting people up with words of affirmation, to brining in donuts, to hanging a stress relief color board in the breakroom. She is the most caring, thoughtful employee here.
 
How has this employee contributed to improving our workplace environment or company culture?
She helps to promote office activities that increase a positive culture and staff communication. Her positive approach to work makes the busy days seem less intimidating and more enjoyable to combat with great care. She shows great appreciation of any help that is provided to help optimize the time management of the day.
Emily has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance in her role as Clinical Manager in Grand Rapids. Her hard work, dedication, and attitude have made a significant impact on the team. I am voting for her because of her positive attitude in the workplace even though we are short staffed. She increases morale in office.
