Position: Senior Embryologist/Research Scientist
Duties: Under the supervision of the IVF Lab Director, maintain CLIA and CAP standards regarding quality control and procedural guidelines; Perform and assist in the supervision of junior staff on procedures related to human gamete manipulation, including IVF, oocyte retrieval, oocyte denudation, assisted hatching of embryos and blastocysts, cryopreservation (vitrification), andrology tests such as basic semen analysis for IVF and Intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedures, handling of testicular sperm aspiration/extraction using immunocytochemistry and immunoflourescent techniques and sperm DNA fragmentation tests using TUNEL and/or Halosperm, and assisted reproduction technology (ART) techniques, including oocyte retrieval, oocyte denudation, ICSI, vitrification, and embryo biopsy; Perform quality control and administrative duties such as file maintenance and data input in the fertility database management system; and Conduct independent research and present findings at national and international conferences.
Locations: 3950 South Rochester Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48307 and other multiple undetermined worksites throughout the U.S.
Education: PhD in Embryology, Genetics, Life Sciences, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Junior Embryologist, Embryology Researcher, Genetic Researcher, Histological Researcher, or in a related occupation.
Other Requirements: Professional, academic, and/or training experience must have included use of or work with assisted reproduction technology (ART) techniques, including oocyte retrieval, oocyte denudation, ICSI, vitrification, and embryo biopsy
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
